Driver Hire Nationwide recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in 2018

Driver Hire Nationwide has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in 2018. The specialist transport and logistics recruiter is ranked 43rd in Great Place to Work®’s annual list of the best workplace cultures, published in The Guardian today (26th April 2018).

Driver Hire was recognised in this year’s ranking along with just 127 other UK organisations which made the shortlist. Great Place to Work® has been measuring the health and success of UK workplaces since 2000. This is the second year Driver Hire has been recognised for its strong workplace culture of integrity and respect, commitment to staff welfare, rigorous hiring procedures and employee engagement and development.

Chris Chidley, chief executive of Driver Hire, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our business and our people and since our inclusion in last year’s list, we’re more focused than ever on making Driver Hire an excellent place to work. “Our reputation as an industry leader is in part down to our people taking pride and care in the work we do.

Our most recent staff survey showed that 99 per cent of Driver Hire employees are proud to work for us. To be named one of the UK’s best places to work for a second-year running is a great accolade for our business, our people and the positive workplace culture they help to create.” This accolade follows strong financial results at Driver Hire, which recently reported turnover of more than £108m – its fifth successive year of record trading.
