Driver Hire Nationwide has been named as one of the best workplaces in the UK.
The specialist transport and logistics recruiter is ranked 51 in Great Place to Work®’s annual list of the best workplace cultures, published in The Guardian today (4th May).
Great Place to Work® has been measuring the health and success of UK workplaces since 2000. In its debut entry, Driver Hire was recognised for its strong workplace culture of integrity and respect, commitment to staff welfare, rigorous hiring procedures and employee engagement and development.
Chris Chidley, chief executive of Driver Hire, said: “We are incredibly proud of our business and our people, and we make a concerted effort to engage our employees to make sure they are too. Our most recent staff survey showed that 93 per cent of Driver Hire employees are proud to work for us. We will continue to invest in our workplace to make sure this continues.
“We’ve seen significant growth over the past few years and our reputation as an industry leader is in part down to our employees taking pride and care in the work we do. To be recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces is a great accolade for the positive culture we aim to foster.”
Speaking about Driver Hire’s inclusion, Tom O’Byrne, Great Place to Work® CEO, said: “It is a validation of the strength of their leadership and their commitment to creating the kind of culture which attracts and retains the best talent and where people have pride in what they do and want to do their best.”
This accolade follows strong financial results at Driver Hire, which recently reported turnover of more than £100m – its fourth successive year of record trading.
