‘The great British bake-off’ seems to be on our TV screens almost permanently these days. No harm in that, if you’re a lover of cakes. And who isn’t?
That’s what encouraged the team at Driver Hire’s Bradford head office to do a bit of their own self-raising (money rather than flour) by doing some baking for road safety charity Brake.
Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood wannabes pulled out their baking trays, mixing bowls along with all the required ingredients, creating an amazing array of cakes, buns and other home-baked treats. Enthusiastic judges paid for the privilege of munching their way through as much of the produce as their waistlines could handle, raising over £100 in the process.
