Supporting our Community

Each year Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe choose a charity or cause to support and when Covid struck our choice for our annual community support was an easy one.  We knew that there would be a huge increase in mental health issues and many people who would not be able to pay for therapy and support. So, in April 2020 we set up a JustGiving Page to raise £10k to help and support those who needed therapy at no cost to themselves.  We approached Fortis Therapy, an award- winning organisation to extend their services to those who were not able to pay but could be paid for through our fundraising efforts.

The golf event took place in July 2024 and teams of Golfers enjoyed a highly competitive round of Golf at the Laceby Manor Golf Resort followed by a spendid evening meal.  Prizes were given for the winning teams and the Raffle Draw contained some fantastic donations from our generous sponsors.

We would like to thank all of our Golf Teams (including 4 from our reputable clients), Generous Sponsors, Laceby Manor and not forgetting Fortis Therapy for your involvement to make it such a successful day.

Our Goal of £10k was achieved above and beyond.

Jayne is also involved in the social media presence that the company has on a number of platforms. Jayne’s background is in the hospitality sector and has been in charge of customer service. Business Owner, Michael, purchased Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe in 2016. With previous experience as an Operations Director (Gas and Electrical Maintenance), Mike prides himself on ensuring the whole business runs smoothly for the benefit of customers, candidates and the office team. Mike’s goal is to ensure Driver Hire is the first port of call for any logistics business looking for temporary & permanent staff. Another goal is to provide opportunities for candidates with our reputable clients. As well as operating the Driver Hire business, Mike is also involved with the Chamber of Commerce and other business organisations in the area. In his spare time, Mike enjoys walks in the country, cycling and stopping off for a swift glass of wine en-route!

Andrea joined Driver Hire in June 2021, after first registering as a driver. Andreas’ role in the Driver Hire Team is varied and includes completing payroll, liaising with clients and drivers on a daily basis, updating bookings and working with colleagues to provide a professional service. Andreas’ previous role in the civil service (supported people in achieving their training and employment goals) developed her skills in communication and administration. Outside work, Andrea enjoys spending time with family, walking, live music events and socialising with friends.

What are the T&C's for the NEW YEAR OFFER 2023?

  1. New Customers must join Driver Hire and sign terms between 1st Jan 2023 & 31st Mar 2023 for the offer to apply.
  2. New customers must have 50 shifts invoiced within 12 weeks starting from the date terms were signed.
  3. Existing customers must have 50 shifts invoiced between 1st Jan & 31st March 2023.
  4. 51st shift will be lowest value shift for that week.
