Job Description
Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton is recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Drivers for a fantastic, well-established local company based in Bridgwater.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent evening work, sensible delivery schedules and the potential to secure a permanent position.
The role involves bulk deliveries across the South West, with no store deliveries, minimal manual handling and no time-sensitive delivery schedules.
The Role
Class 2 bulk deliveries across the South West.
Monday to Friday, starting at approximately 6:00pm.
Evening and night-time driving.
No store deliveries or high-pressure multi-drop routes.
Confidently operating a tail lift for deliveries.
Must be willing and physically able to move roll cages on and off the tail lift as part of the delivery process.
Minimal additional handballing or manual handling.
Sensible, planned delivery routes with realistic schedules.
Ongoing work with temp-to-perm opportunities for suitable candidates.
Requirements
Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
Minimum 18 months’ Class 2 driving experience (insurance requirement).
Must be aged 25 or over (insurance requirement).
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Experience and confidence using a tail lift.
Comfortable handling and manoeuvring loaded roll cages safely.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Comfortable working evening and night shifts.
