Warehouse Operative

Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a successful and growing business based in the Winchester area.

Our client is an established supplier and distributor of cleaning, hygiene and janitorial products, supplying businesses across a wide range of sectors. Their extensive product range includes cleaning chemicals, PPE, paper products, gloves, waste sacks, cleaning equipment and other janitorial supplies.

What’s on Offer?

• £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Overtime available
• Temp-to-perm position

The Role

Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling, storage and movement of stock, helping to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Checking incoming stock
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Moving stock around the warehouse
• Putting stock away in the correct locations
• Loading vehicles for dispatch
• Carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock accuracy
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to meet daily targets
• Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous warehouse experience
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Experience in picking, packing and goods-in would be advantageous
• Forklift licence/experience is desirable but not essential
• A willingness to undertake a hands-on role
