We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established local business for a Class 2 Vacuum Tanker Driver to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous vacuum tanker experience who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service and taking pride in their work.

The Role

You’ll be operating a fixed wheelbase 18-tonne vacuum tanker, carrying out septic tank emptying, cleaning and jetting work across the local area.

Work will be carried out at residential and commercial properties.

This role requires a professional driver who can represent the business positively when dealing with customers and who takes a proactive approach to vehicle care, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 2 vacuum tanker safely and efficiently
• Emptying septic tanks and carrying out associated cleaning and jetting work
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Accurately completing delivery notes, vehicle logs and related paperwork
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional vehicle
• Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues and dispatch teams
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Previous vacuum tanker experience
• Good working knowledge of septic tanks and private foul drainage systems
• Strong understanding of road transport legislation and safe driving practices
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively
