26 Tonne Class 2 HGV Driver – Temporary Work
Class 2 Driver Wanted – 26 Tonne HGV | 6–8 Drops Per Day | £13.65–£19.90 per hour
Driver Hire Blackburn are recruiting an experienced 26 Tonne Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver for temporary work delivering to customers across the local and surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable Class 2 driver looking for regular temporary HGV driving work with a well-established distribution operation.
The Role
As a 26 Tonne Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers, completing approximately 6–8 drops per day.
Duties will include:
- Driving a 26 Tonne Class 2 HGV
- Completing approximately 6–8 deliveries per day
- Delivering goods to commercial customers
- Loading and unloading the vehicle as required
- Ensuring loads are secure and delivered safely
- Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Following all relevant transport and health & safety procedures
Pay & Benefits
- £13.65 per hour basic
- £19.90 per hour overtime

Requirements
To be considered for this Class 2 driving position, you will need:
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- A professional and reliable attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
