Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a HGV Refuse Driver to join our team and work for one of our clients. This job role involves operating a bin lorry and working as part of a crew to carry out local waste collection services based in Stockport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
- Working alongside loaders to complete daily routes
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all collections are completed in line with schedules
- Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in refuse or similar driving work is preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
Hours & Pay:
- Start time: 07:00 AM.
- Monday to Friday ( Bank holidays required & overtime available on Saturdays if wanted.)
- Starts at £15.35 per hour. Once you hit AWR your hourly rate will increase to £16.35 per hour
