🚐 Van Driver – Supermarket Home Delivery
Location: Nelson
Pay: £12.80 per hour basic | £18.05 per hour overtime
Job Type: Temporary – Immediate Start
Shifts: 07:30am or 14:00pm starts
Driver Hire Blackburn are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to work on behalf of a leading supermarket, delivering customer grocery orders directly to their homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Van Driver, Delivery Driver or Multi-Drop Driver looking for immediate temporary work.
The Role
As a Supermarket Home Delivery Van Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering supermarket grocery orders to customers’ homes
- Loading and unloading your delivery vehicle
- Completing multiple home deliveries during each shift
- Using a PDA device to record deliveries and obtain customer confirmation
- Providing excellent customer service at each delivery
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Working Hours
There are two available start times:
07:30am start
14:00pm start
The role is offered on a temporary basis with an immediate start available, with ongoing work available for the right driver.
Pay
- £12.80 per hour basic rate
- £18.05 per hour overtime rate
Requirements
To be considered for this Van Driver / Home Delivery Driver role, you will need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving or delivery experience preferred
- Experience of multi-drop deliveries is advantageous
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to use a PDA or handheld delivery device
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Good knowledge of local roads and navigation
