Driver Hire Blackburn is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver on behalf of one of our valued clients, a well-established builder’s merchant in Burnley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Category C (Class 2) HIAB Driver looking for ongoing work with regular daytime hours, delivering building materials to trade and domestic customers throughout Lancashire and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) HIAB vehicle.
• Delivering building materials to construction sites, trade customers and residential properties.
• Safely operating a HIAB crane, using a brick grab or hook attachment where required.
• Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are carried out in line with company procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
• Working closely with the branch team to ensure efficient daily operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid ALLMI or equivalent HIAB certificate (brick grab and remote preferred).
• Previous HIAB driving experience is desirable, although newly qualified HIAB drivers may be considered.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and road transport legislation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.

Pay & Benefits

• £18.50 per hour PAYE.
• Weekly pay via BACS.
• Regular Monday to Friday day shifts.
