Job Title: HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver (Chichester)

Pay Rate: £18.95 – 22.50 per hour (+ N/O allowance)

Looking for weekend tramping work with a unique twist? Driver Hire Chichester is recruiting reliable HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Weekend Tramper Drivers for immediate agency work with a leading transport supplier to the theatre and live events industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to work behind the scenes of major theatre productions, touring shows and live events, transporting specialist equipment safely across the UK. If you’re looking for weekend work that offers something different from general haulage, we’d love to hear from you!

Requirements:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Previous Class 1 tramping experience is preferred.
• Experience securing loads and transporting valuable equipment is advantageous.
• A professional, reliable approach with excellent customer service skills.
• Saturday to Monday each week.
• Nights out required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport theatre and live event equipment to venues across the UK.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with all driving regulations.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure equipment arrives in excellent condition.
• Work closely with production teams and venue staff, providing a professional service at every location.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
