Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a wide variety of clients across West Lothian.

These opportunities are ideal for drivers seeking flexible work that fits around other commitments, while gaining experience across multiple industries and job types.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries and collections
  (including steel, office furniture, food & drink, and construction materials)
• A–B vehicle movements
• General haulage and pallet network work
• Loading and unloading where required
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Adhering to all transport, compliance, and safety regulations

Driver Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
• Maximum 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
• No IN, DD, DR, or CD endorsements
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport legislation
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay Rates

• PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
• PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
