🚐 Minibus Driver – Ad Hoc Summer Work 🚐

💷 £13.50 per hour
⏰ Approx. 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, flexible/ad hoc)
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently recruiting caring and reliable Minibus Drivers to support a local transport provider on an ad hoc basis throughout the summer period.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help older passengers travel safely to and from local day centres, supporting independence, wellbeing, and community connection.
The Role
- Transport passengers safely between their homes and local day centres
- Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive service at all times
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or concerns
- Ensure the minibus is kept clean, safe, and roadworthy
Working Hours
- Ad hoc summer work (hours are not guaranteed)
- Monday to Friday availability preferred
- Typical shift times:
- Morning: approx. 8:00am – 10:00am
- Afternoon: approx. 2:00pm – 4:00pm
- Hours may vary depending on service requirements
What You’ll Need
- Category D1 licence (no 101 restriction)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A patient, professional, and compassionate manner
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
