Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HGV Drivers to work as part of a two-person crew on survey and maintenance contracts across the South West.
This is more than just a driving role. You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 support vehicle to various locations, but you will also be expected to support the operative on site when equipment is being used. This is a mix of driving and non driving.
The Role
You will be working on highway-related contracts, travelling to different sites across the South West.
Duties will include:
Driving the Class 2 support vehicle to and from site
Working as part of a two-person crew
Supporting the operative with survey and maintenance activities
Assisting with equipment on site
Jetting and camera work
Working safely around highways and live working environments
Completing varied work across different locations
This role would suit a driver who is happy to be hands-on and understands that the job involves both driving and site-based support work.
What We Offer

Requirements
Streetworks card.
Valid Class 2 / Category C licence
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
Minimum 2 years’ HGV driving experience
Willingness to support surveying and maintenance activities on site
Good attitude and reliability
Comfortable working as part of a two-person crew
Flexible approach, as late shifts may be required at times
