Salary: £27,500 per year
Bonus: Uncapped personal and business performance bonuses
OTE: £45,000 – £55,000

Driver Hire Yeovil & Shepton Mallet is looking for a confident, people-focused Business Development Executive to support the continued growth of our Shepton Mallet site and help expand our client base across the wider region.
The role will be based from our main Bridgwater office, so applicants must live within a commutable distance of Bridgwater. A key part of the role will involve visiting businesses face-to-face, building relationships with decision-makers and introducing Driver Hire as a trusted recruitment partner.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting out, meeting local businesses, asking the right questions and winning new clients through a professional, consultative approach.
This is not a basic sales role or a purely desk-based position. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, understanding what businesses need and building long-term commercial relationships.
The Role
Your role will include:
Supporting the growth and development of our Shepton Mallet site
Winning new clients across Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Bridgwater and the wider Somerset region
Visiting businesses face-to-face
Building relationships with business owners, transport managers and key decision-makers
Identifying staffing requirements and recruitment opportunities
Introducing Driver Hire’s services to local employers
Following up with prospects and maintaining regular contact
Working closely with the recruitment team to turn opportunities into successful placements
Helping grow an ambitious local office
What We Offer
£27,500 basic salary
Uncapped bonus structure
Realistic OTE of £45,000 – £55,000

What We Are Looking For
You must have:
Experience in sales, business development, account management, recruitment or a client-facing commercial role
Confidence meeting clients face-to-face
Strong communication skills
A consultative, relationship-led approach
A full, clean UK driving licence
Ability to drive an automatic vehicle
Be aged 23 or over due to company vehicle insurance requirements
Live within a commutable distance of Bridgwater
