Class 2 MOFFETT HGV Driver

Salary: £19 per hour ( paid min 8 hours per day )

About the Role
Driver Hire Colchester is currently looking for an experienced Class 2 MOFFETT HGV Driver to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who is reliable, safety-conscious, and confident operating a vehicle-mounted forklift (Moffett).
You will be responsible for delivering goods to customers across East Anglia, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 (Category C) HGV vehicle
- Operating a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) to load and unload goods
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customer sites
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Adhering to all health & safety and driving regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence ( min 12 months)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Moffett licence/certification
- Min 21 years old
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Good knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
