Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3-month contract with a well-established food distribution company operating throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking consistent full-time hours, reliable weekly pay, and the chance to gain valuable experience within a fast-paced distribution environment.

🕒 Working Hours
- 3-month contract
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekend shifts available
- Typical start times of 7:00am or 11:00am
- Full-time hours with overtime available during busy periods
🚚 The Role
- Delivering food products to commercial customers across local and regional routes
- Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
- Working alongside a driver’s mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Assisting with loading and unloading where required
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
- Completing delivery documentation accurately
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
💰 Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
PAYE
- £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour after 8 hours

✅ Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused approach
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
