Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver to join a well-established flour distribution company based in East Lothian.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking stable, full-time employment with consistent hours, weekly pay, and the chance to work with a respected business within the food supply sector.
🕒 Working Hours
• Monday to Friday
• Early morning start times
• Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Overtime available depending on business requirements
• Full-time ongoing position
🔧 The Role
• Operating a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle delivering flour products to commercial customers across Scotland
• Completing scheduled deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed in accordance with transport legislation and company procedures
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all delivery locations
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
• £15.50 per hour
• £20.66 per hour overtime
PAYE Advanced
• £17.37 per hour
• £23.15 per hour overtime
✅ Minimum 40 hours guaranteed per week
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Ongoing full-time work
✅ Overtime opportunities available
✅ Requirements
• Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
