Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to support a wide range of clients across West Lothian.
This role is ideal for drivers seeking flexible work to fit around other commitments, while gaining exposure to a variety of assignments and industries.

Typical Duties
- Trunking, single-drop, and multi-drop deliveries and collections
- General haulage and pallet network work
- A–B vehicle movements
- Loading and unloading where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Ensuring full compliance with drivers’ hours and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience (essential)
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No IN, DD, DR, or CD endorsements
- Good knowledge of transport legislation and drivers’ hours
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and flexible approach
Pay Rates
- PAYE Basic: £15.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
- PAYE Advanced: £17.37 per hour
