Bus Driver (PCV Category D) roles are available for reliable and professional drivers looking for either full-time or part-time work.
Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting experienced PCV drivers for various passenger transport routes, including school transport and scheduled bus services.
We have opportunities available for drivers seeking regular hours, flexible working patterns, and long-term ongoing work.
Location
South Devon
This is a site-based driving role with routes operating across the local area. There are no remote or hybrid working options.
Salary
Part-Time School Run Driver: £13.83 per hour
Full-Time Bus Driver: £14.70 per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate buses on designated school transport and service routes
• Carry passengers in a professional and courteous manner
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Follow route schedules and company procedures
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers
• Maintain accurate records where required
• Adhere to all road transport legislation and safety standards
Available Roles
Part-Time School Run Driver
• Approximately 20 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Split shifts covering morning and afternoon school transport routes
Full-Time Bus Driver
• Combination of school transport and scheduled service routes
• Full-time hours available
Shift Information
• Routes operate Monday to Sunday
• Morning and afternoon start times available
• Evening finishes may be required depending on route allocation
Qualifications
Essential
• Valid Category D PCV Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check
• Strong customer service skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work
Desirable
• Previous bus or coach driving experience
• Flexible approach to working hours and route allocations
