Class 1 Timber Wagon Driver – Ongoing Temporary Work

Driver Hire Stranraer is recruiting on behalf of our client in Girvan for an experienced Class 1 Timber Wagon Driver.

This is an ongoing temporary assignment with consistent Monday to Friday work, offering excellent rates of pay for the right candidate.

The Role

• Operating a Class 1 timber wagon
• Loading and unloading timber using the vehicle-mounted crane
• Delivering timber from forestry sites and timber yards
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
• Working safely in forestry and rural environments

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 5:00am starts
• Ongoing temporary assignment

Pay

• £16.81 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous timber wagon and loader crane experience is essential
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional attitude
