Job Description: Driver Hire are seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver for our client in Dumfries that can work on a shift pattern of Monday to Friday with a start time of 0700 and work for around 8 hours a day. The successful candidate will have to have a very good attention to detail and to be able to carry out the tasks provided to a high standard. Rate of pay – £16.25 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
HGV Driver Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Pay attention to detail and have a willingness to help if required
As an HGV Driver you must have:
- Valid Class 2 HGV (C) licence, preferably with 2 years relevant driving experience.
- No more than 3 penalty points
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills
