HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm
Location: Doncaster
Shift Pattern: Full time Monday to Friday
Salary: £16.50ph – time and half before 8:30am
(if you are open to over time and working weekends, this is time and half)
About the role:
Driver Hire is currently looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our client on a Temp to Perm basis located in Doncaster. Our client is a well-established and trusted UK business specialising in the supply, distribution, and delivery of construction, utilities, and infrastructure materials across the country.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Comfortable with manual handling aspects of the role
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed in line with company and legal requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Minimum of 6 months Class 2 experience
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to complete the occasional night out (Tramping – approximately once every 3 weeks)
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety regulations
