HGV Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver to work on behalf of a local District Council in the North Mansfield area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with early starts and consistent hours.
The Role
As a Bin Lorry Driver, your duties will include:
- Operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV Class 2)
- Collecting domestic and commercial waste/recycling
- Leading and working alongside a crew of loaders
- Navigating residential streets and tight access routes safely
- Operating hydraulic systems to empty bins efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Held your Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year
- At least 6 months HGV driving experience
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Start times approximately 7:00am
- Full-time ongoing work available
- Assignment rates starting from £17.75 per hour
