Driver Hire are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to support one of our customers based near Wincanton.
This is a great opportunity for reliable and experienced van drivers looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work with a well-established local customer. The role involves operating flatbed LWB vehicles, completing deliveries and collections to commercial sites, and representing both Driver Hire and our customer in a professional manner.
There may also be opportunities for ongoing work and temp-to-perm positions for successful candidates.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Driving flatbed LWB vans safely and professionally
Carrying out deliveries and collections to commercial sites
Loading and unloading goods where required
Using a tail lift safely and correctly
Completing daily vehicle checks and any required paperwork
Providing a reliable, professional service when dealing with customers
Representing Driver Hire and our customer to a high standard at all times

Weekly pay via PAYE
Monday to Friday work
Start times between 07:00 and 08:00

Requirements
Applicants must have:
A valid UK driving licence
Previous commercial van driving experience
Experience driving flatbed or LWB vehicles
Confidence using a tail lift
Good communication and customer service skills
A reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work
A strong awareness of vehicle safety and daily checks
