Driver Hire is currently recruiting Class 1 HGV C+E Day Drivers to work with a fantastic local client.
This is a great opportunity for reliable, professional drivers looking for ongoing day work only, with no nights, immediate starts after onboarding, and the chance to secure a permanent position through temp-to-perm opportunities if successful within the role.
The Role
As a Class 1 HGV C+E Day Driver, your duties may include:
Driving Class 1 HGV C+E vehicles safely and professionally
Day shifts from 7:00am — no night work
Working with a fantastic local client
Completing a number of deliveries depending on the work stack and client requirements
Supporting daily transport operations
Completing daily vehicle checks
Ensuring paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately
Providing excellent customer service while representing Driver Hire and our client
Following all road transport, driver hours and health and safety regulations

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
A valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience due to insurance requirements
Good communication and customer service skills
A reliable, flexible and professional attitude
Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
