🚐 Minibus Driver – Ad Hoc Summer Work 🚐

💷 £13.50 per hour
⏰ Approx. 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, flexible/ad hoc)
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting caring and dependable Minibus Drivers to support a local transport service on an ad hoc basis throughout the summer.
This rewarding role involves transporting older passengers to and from local day centres, helping them stay active, independent, and connected within their community.
The Role
- Safely transport passengers between their homes and local day centres
- Deliver a friendly, respectful, and supportive service at all times
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure the vehicle remains clean, safe, and roadworthy
Working Hours
- Ad hoc summer work (hours not guaranteed)
- Monday to Friday availability preferred
- Typical shift times:
- Morning: approx. 8:00am – 10:00am
- Afternoon: approx. 2:00pm – 4:00pm
- Hours may vary depending on service demand
What You’ll Need
- Category D1 licence (no 101 restriction)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, professional, and compassionate approach
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
