Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our clients across the SK Postcode. We have work available Monday- Friday so whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, we have flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
The hours and work will vary depending on the client you work for but generally between 5am-7am starts. Varied assignments including: General Haulage, Flatbed work, Day and Night shifts with 40 local customers supplied on a weekly basis.
The Successful Class 1 HGV Driver will have:
- Valid Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
- A preferred 6 month of relevant driving experience
- No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s endorsements)
Duties of this HGV Class 1 Driver will include:
- Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly while obeying all traffic laws.
- Carrying out the required daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle when necessary
- Good communication with Branch Managers on daily progress.
The successful Class 1 HGV Driver can expect:
- Minimum 8 hours pay per shift*.

Pay Rates:
PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE
£17.59- Minimum 8 hours paid
£23.53- Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.70h and £21ph overtime.
