🔧 About the Role
If you know your way around a forklift better than most people know their morning coffee order, this could be the role for you.
Our Client is on the lookout for a skilled Forklift Engineer to join their team, working across a variety of client sites to keep gas and diesel forklifts running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. No two days are the same—one day you’re servicing, the next you’re the hero fixing a breakdown.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping forklifts in top condition with routine servicing and inspections
- Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Responding to breakdowns and getting equipment back up and running
- Maintaining clear and accurate service records
- Sharing your expertise with customers to help them get the best from their equipment
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a forklift engineer or industrial vehicle technician
- Forklift certification (RTITB, ITSSAR, or similar)
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of LPG and diesel engines
- Good working knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, and electrics
- Health & Safety awareness (CSCS, IOSH, or NEBOSH a bonus)
- Full UK driving licence – you’ll be on the move
