Job Title: Class 2 Driver (HGV 2)
Location: Braintree
Salary: £34,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40-hour week)
Early finishes available once deliveries are completed
Type: Temp to Perm (for the right candidate)

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client, a well-established independent family-run business with over 30 years of success. The company prides itself on supporting the hospitality sector while maintaining strong, personal relationships with both customers and staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driver seeking a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a strong focus on work-life balance—no London driving and no overtime required. This position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries to hospitality clients
- Work alongside a driver’s mate to ensure safe and efficient deliveries
- Assist with manual handling and order picking as required
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time

The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong customer service skills
