Yard Forklift Operative

Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for Yard Operative (Forklift Operative) for our client based in Uxbridge, a leading gas supplier.

PAYE £13.60 per hour + holiday pay / Overtime £20.40 per hour

Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:30 (flexibility for overtime)
42.5 hour week
28 days holiday per year, increasing with length of service

All-round Duties:

• Supporting the day to day running of the yard
• Handling and moving gas cylinders (this role will involve heavy lifting)
• Assisting with loading and unloading for both customers and drivers
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift
• Providing a good level of customer service on site
• Supporting with basic admin tasks when needed (full training provided)

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (refreshed within the last 3 years)
• Valid Category B Driving Licence
• DBS check required prior to start (6 week grace period)
• Basic IT skills
• Minimum of 6 months Yard experience
• Physically fit, as this role is fairly manual (includes being out in all elements)
• Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
• 5 Years address history
• 3 years employment history
