Class 1 Driver (C+E) – Permanent Role | Chertsey (KT16)
Driver Hire Chertsey is currently recruiting for a Class 1 (C+E) Driver on behalf of a well-established client based in Chertsey (KT16). This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a structured shift pattern and excellent work-life balance.
🚛 Role Overview
You will be operating a mix of Mercedes articulated (Class 1) and 18-tonne rigid vehicles, carrying out a combination of airport deliveries and customer collections. The role offers variety and often shorter working days, with many shifts finishing earlier than scheduled.
🗓️ Shift Pattern (3-Week Rotation)
- Week 1: Airport deliveries (approx. 05:30 – 14:30)
- Week 2: Chertsey → Gloucester collections (10:30 – 18:30)
- Week 3: Wallingford collections + airport deliveries (14:30 – 21:00)

✔ Early finishes common on most days
💰 Salary & Benefits
- £33,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
- 1 in 3 Saturdays required (approx. 4 hours – already included in salary)

✅ Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations
