Class 2 Lead Driver

💰 £37,367 basic + bonus (OTE £45,000+)
💸 £160/month leadership bonus + £4.50 meal allowance

Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Lead Driver for a full-time position based in the Eaglescliffe area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver looking to step into a leadership role, supporting both drivers and transport operations.
💼 The Role
- Driving Class 2 vehicles (including tipper / mixer work)
- Supporting planners with route optimisation
- Assisting with driver start/finish times and daily operations
- Monitoring tachograph compliance and downloads
- Ensuring vehicle checks and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Acting as a key point of support within the driver team
👉 A great opportunity to move into a lead position while remaining hands-on
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years Class 2 (C) experience
- Strong understanding of driver hours & tachograph regulations
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to support and guide other drivers
- Cement mixer / tipper experience preferred (training available)
