Driver Hire Newcastle has won again, as the business continues to go from strength to strength. This time, the team has come out top in Driver Hire’s latest sales competition – finishing ahead of 100 other Driver Hire offices nationwide.
The competition was based on the number of new clients each office could attract over a twelve‑week period. David Burn, Branch Manager, and his team secured 16 new customers, an achievement described by Driver Hire’s Managing Director, Jeremy Neale, as “an incredible number of new wins.”
The team of four was rewarded with £500 in high street vouchers. Jeremy Neale travelled to Newcastle to present the Platinum Trophy and vouchers to the team, marking their success with a celebratory lunch.
Driver Hire Newcastle supplies staff – both temporary and permanent – to the road transport industry. It’s owned by Wilson Gibb Management Services Ltd (WGMS). WGMS operates Driver Hire offices in Edinburgh, Fife, Grangemouth, Motherwell, the Borders and Newcastle. It’s enjoyed a partnership with Driver Hire extending well over 30 years.
Commenting on Newcastle’s achievement, Jeremy said: “David and his team have grown the business substantially, surpassing the £2m mark in the most recently completed financial year – an uplift of 53% year‑on‑year.”
David added: “Throughout the campaign, Driver Hire ran monthly ‘Sales Days’ to help offices focus on attracting new customers. It clearly worked for us. We’re delighted to have won the Platinum Trophy and voucher – it’s great to receive further recognition for the hard work our team puts in at Driver Hire Newcastle, 365 days a year.”
