Driver Hire Gatwick are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our client in Crawley. This is a full-time job and can be a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. You will be delivering pallets across the South of England for one of the biggest freight companies in the south east.
The Role
- Delivering palletised freight across the South of England
- You will be driving a curtainsider class 2 vehicle
- Start times between 07:00-08:00 AM
- Between 7-15 drops depending on distance
- Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
- Safe loading and unloading of goods
About You
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Pallets experience needed
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
- Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
- Comfortable ensuring loads are secure at all times
- PPE required: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
- Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
- Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures
