We are looking for Yard Fitter to start ASAP for our growing client base across the IP postcode, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team in Ipswich.
The successful Yard Fitter will receive:
£30,000 annual salary
29 days annual leave + 1 additional day per year (max 33 days).
Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Yard Fitter:
To service and maintain hot water heater systems in toilets, PAT Testing, maintain our range of eco mobile welfare units to a high standard.
To provide a high standard fitting resource within the area where required, including but not restricted to the following:
Reducing backlogs of non RFH equipment at depots where this is prevalent, either at the depot or when transported to the “home depot”.
Undertaking major repairs/refurbs.
Assist depot in ensuring six and twelve weekly trailer checks are kept up to date.
Assist depot in ensuring six monthly servicing is carried out on our eco welfare units, service generators and heating systems on site or at home depot.
General fitter responsibilities apply as follows:
To diagnose faults and repair/maintain a variety of toilets and eco welfare units in the fleet including generators, heating systems, electrical testing, etc, both on and off site.
Check and tag all equipment and update service records.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of products and full range of accessories.
Assist in ensuring eco welfare units availability.
Completion of all test certificates and associated paperwork.
Ensure best safe working practices are adhered to at all times and that appropriate PPE is being used.
Report all incidents/accidents.
Abide by customer Health & Safety rules when on site.
Keep workshop and vehicle (where provided) organised, clean and tidy and assist with general workshop duties as and when required.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the GM.

No more than 6 effective penalty points.
