HGV Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver – Waste & Recycling
Location: Braintree
Pay: £15.25 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday Minimum 10 hours paid per day
Driver Hire Chelmsford & Harlow is currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a well-established waste management company in Braintree.
This is a fantastic opportunity for dependable, safety-conscious drivers to play a key role in maintaining essential services for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be driving a bin lorry, collecting and emptying wheelie bins across the region. You’ll work alongside a crew of loaders who will assist you throughout the route.
- Operate a Class 2 refuse lorry/dustcart/bin lorry
- Perform daily vehicle walk-around checks
- Ensure all collections, missed bins, and additional tasks are completed
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence – minimum 6 months’ experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in waste & recycling is desirable
