Driver Hire Stockport are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our well respected client in Buxton. This role will consist of delivering fresh and frozen food to pubs and restaurants across the country- full training is provided by our client.
The candidate must have previous HGV experience, and will be responsible for making deliveries in a safely and timely manner. You will be required to work Tuesday- Saturday 5am starts.
This is a temp to perm position so once 65 shifts are completed with Driver Hire Stockport you will go full time with our client
Duties of this HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly while obeying all traffic laws.
- Carrying out the required daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other team members regarding deliveries and any issues.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Requirements of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2)
- A Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
- 6 month of relevant driving experience (preferred)
- No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s)
- Must provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company at all times.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
PAY RATES:
PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE
£16.81ph and £22.41ph overtime (paid after 9 hours)
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will be £15.00ph and £20.00ph overtime.
Once you go full time with our client you will recieve £15.00ph (Guaranteed 40 hours a week).
