Lisa MacRae enjoys working for Driver Hire East Kilbride so much she’s bought the business – from longstanding franchisees, Ian & Sharon Connor.
A key member of the Driver Hire East Kilbride team for nearly 25 years, Lisa first joined the business in 1999. She had a three-year sabbatical when her daughter was born, before rejoining the team in 2008.
“Over the years I’ve seen the value of a Driver Hire franchise,” says Lisa. “So, it was always a long-term plan to buy the business when Ian & Sharon decided to retire.”
Driver Hire East Kilbride currently covers around 80 shifts a week and finds regular employment for 25-30 drivers. Lisa’s business plan is to grow this further.
“I’ve recruited a new member of staff and together we’re aiming to take the Driver Hire East Kilbride to further success. There’s a lot of hard work to do but I’m really excited about being my own boss and, of course, the potential of the business both now and in the future,” Lisa concludes.
