Driver CPC is a good thing. That’s the message coming from Driver Hire's annual CV Show industry survey part way through the show. Early results suggest Driver CPC has an increasingly positive profile within the road transport and logistics industry.
Initial results from day one of the survey, taken from visitors to Driver Hire’s stand at the Commercial Vehicle Show, reveal that 87% of respondents now believe that Driver CPC is a good thing. The survey also showed that 90% of those interviewed believed that the Driver CPC training itself was useful.
What is also clear is that the industry is making real strides towards ensuring its drivers are trained ahead of the 2014 deadline. When asked about arranging Driver CPC training, over 90% said they had plans in place for Driver CPC, and over 50% have completed two or three days of training, which means they are broadly on track to meet the 2014 deadline.
“These results show that, despite early doubts, the industry now sees there is real value in Driver CPC,” says Richard Owen-Hughes, Driver Hire’s Group Marketing Director. “First hand experience of training and its results mean that operators are seeing that it improves the efficiency of their business. Of course, to get the best value from Driver CPC and ensure that time spent training is worthwhile, it’s essential that operators source good quality training from a nationally recognised provider.”
