Van Driver / Warehouse Assistant
Location: East Kilbride
Hours: Full-Time – Day Shift (40 hours per week, between 7am–6pm, Monday to Friday)
Contract: Temporary (with potential for long term or permanent depending on candidate)
Pay: £12.71 per hour
An established and prestigious wine merchant in East Kilbride are seeking a Temporary Van Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join their professional and committed distribution team during a busy trading period.

The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring their hotel, restaurant and private customers receive outstanding service and accurate deliveries.
Duties include:

Carrying out deliveries to hotel, restaurant and private customers (2 days per week) then warehouse 3 days per week

Operating our app-based proof of delivery system

Loading vans and completing vehicle maintenance records

Accurately picking and packing customer orders

Building pallets and preparing delivery runs

Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse

Operating onsite MHE (forklift, reach truck, order picker) following training
The Person
We are looking for someone who is:
-
Reliable, polite and well presented
-
Flexible with start and finish times
-
Physically fit (regular lifting up to 20kg and long periods on your feet)

A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
-
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Previous warehouse or 3.5 tonne van driving experience is essential
Essential Requirements

Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne van

Clean driving licence (or maximum 4 points)

Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods (summer & December)

Ability to transport goods safely and complete required documentation accurately
Age 25+ preferred for insurance purposes.
