Driver Hire Darlington is currently recruiting for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Part‑Time Van Driver to join our team on a long‑term supply basis. Location: Darlington
Hours: Part‑time (flexible shifts, typically 2–4 days per week)
Duration: Ongoing, long‑term supply
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + holiday pay
The Role
You will be completing multi‑drop or single‑drop deliveries across the local area and wider region, depending on the client’s requirements. Typical duties include:
- Driving a 3.5T van safely and professionally
- Loading and unloading goods
- Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude with customers
- Adhering to all driving and safety regulations
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
- A valid UK Category B (van) licence
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, IN, or TT convictions)
- Previous commercial van driving experience (desirable)
- Good local geographical knowledge
- Strong customer service skills
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
