Driver Hire Bridgwater are recruiting a Category B Van Driver for a varied role covering multiple clients and locations across the region. If you’re looking for work with changing day-to-day duties, different vehicles, and the flexibility for occasional nights and weekends, we’d like to hear from you.
Pay
£12-14ph
The role
You’ll be supporting a range of driving assignments which may include:
Driving small vans through to Mercedes Sprinters, plus flatbeds and Luton tail-lift vans
Deliveries and collections depending on the client
Load checks, safe strapping and securing of goods
Manual handling as part of daily tasks (this role can be physical)
Working to safe, legal driving standards and working time rules
Occasional night shifts and weekend work (flexibility is essential)
Requirements
Full UK driving licence (Category B)
Over 25 years old (insurance requirement)
Clean licence
Own transport to get to site (start locations vary across the region and start times may be early/unsociable)
Previous commercial driving experience
Good understanding of safe load restraint, road safety, and compliance
Must be willing to travel to sites across somerset
