Job Description: Driver Hire is seeking a reliable Van Driver for our client in Dumfries that can handle a physically demanding job that will include unloading the goods in the van which will be heavy at times. This job will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as a trial period and will extend to Monday to Friday on the run up to Christmas with the occasional overtime shift on a Saturday if required.
PAY RATE – £14.57 INCLUSIVE OF HOLIDAY PAY
Position: Van Driver
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport and deliver units.
- Execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Interact professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Safety Footwear and Hi-Vis
- Ability to start work promptly at allotted time
- Previous delivery experience is advantageous.
- Over 21 preferred
