Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor on behalf of our client.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing operation within a regulated and specialist logistics environment, supporting the day-to-day running of the transport function.
The Role
- Planning and scheduling daily transport operations
- Managing driver performance and day-to-day supervision
- Monitoring compliance, including tachograph downloads and analysis
- Ensuring all transport activities meet legal and company standards
- Supporting the wider transport team with operational requirements
You will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager, playing a key role in maintaining efficient and compliant operations.
The Operation
- Current fleet of 7 HGV vehicles
- Due to recent contract wins, the fleet is expected to grow
- This makes it a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a developing and expanding operation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a transport supervisory or planning role
- Good understanding of transport compliance and tachograph regulations
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage drivers and resolve operational issues
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00–17:00 or 09:00–18:00
- Occasional Saturday cover (on-call by phone only)
