We are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and reputable scaffolding contractor based in Ipplepen, South Devon. They are seeking a skilled and dependable Scaffolder to join their crew on an ongoing basis. This opportunity is open to fully experienced scaffolders as well as improvers who already have a solid working knowledge of scaffolding and are ready to develop their skills further in a supportive team environment.
Location
Ipplepen, South Devon. This position is a site-based role. Travel to various locations across the region will be required as part of normal working duties.
Salary – £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Pay is competitive and dependent on experience and licenses held, including any 7.5-T entitlement if applicable. Please get in touch to discuss rates in more detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Erecting, modifying and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and in line with current industry standards
- Working as an effective and cooperative member of a scaffolding crew at all times
- Loading and unloading scaffolding materials and maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard and vehicle
- Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting any faults or defects promptly to the appropriate person
- Driving a 3.5T flatbed vehicle as required, including site deliveries and collections
Qualifications
Essential
- Demonstrable experience working in scaffolding, whether as a qualified scaffolder or as an improver with solid working knowledge of the trade
- A full valid UK driving licence is required due to 3.5T flatbed driving responsibilities
- A strong personal commitment to health and safety standards, particularly when working at height
- The ability to work confidently and reliably as part of a team in a safety-critical environment
Desirable
- A 7.5T driving licence, which may positively influence the rate of pay offered
