Job Title: Sales Assistant (with FLT Counterbalance).
Location: Crewe, Cheshire.
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00–17:00 & Saturday 08:00–12:00.
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Assistant with a valid FLT Counterbalance licence to join a busy and friendly builders merchants in Crewe, Cheshire.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role combining sales, customer service, and yard duties. The ideal candidate will be confident dealing with customers, comfortable using computer systems, and competent operating a Counterbalance FLT.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting customers with sales and general enquiries (face-to-face and over the phone)

Processing orders and logging customer details accurately on the computer system

Providing excellent customer service and product advice

Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently

Loading and unloading vehicles in the yard

Supporting general warehouse and yard duties as required
Requirements:

Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)

Previous experience in a builders merchants or similar environment preferred

Strong customer service and communication skills

Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems

Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
