About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our team, providing on-site maintenance, servicing, and breakdown support for gas and diesel forklifts. You will work across multiple sites, ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities as a Forklift Driver:
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of gas and diesel forklifts.
- LOLER inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repair solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Advise clients on equipment maintenance and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a forklift engineer or industrial vehicle technician.
- Forklift truck certification (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Engineering Maintenance, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of gas (LPG) and diesel engines.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, transmissions, and electronic systems on forklifts.
- Health & Safety awareness; CSCS, IOSH, or NEBOSH certifications are desirable.
- Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to client sites.
