🔧 The Role
Reporting to the Toilet Manager / Toilet Foreman, as a Toilet Tanker Driver you are responsible for the delivery of products and the removal of waste from customer sites.
This is an essential service role that requires resilience, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
⏰ Working Pattern & Pay
📅 Mon – Fri
⏱️ Typical working week: 40–45 hours
💰 Approximate salary: £28,000 per annum
➕ Overtime may be required at busy periods
🧻 About the Role – know that expression, it says what it does on the tin!
🛢️ Emptying septic tanks, portable mains connected toilets and chemical toilets, disposing of such waste in the correct manner.
🚚 When required, delivering toilets to customers, collecting toilets at the end of the hire and in the interim carrying out regular servicing and cleaning of those toilets.
🔍 Inspecting all toilets on collection to ensure they are in good order, recording all visible damage, excessive dirtiness, missing items etc.
📝 Ensuring all necessary company paperwork is completed in the correct manner to avoid disputes at a later date i.e. signatures obtained for time of delivery / collection, damage sustained or missing plant. Ensuring toilet service books are completed and filed.
🚦 Driving company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner, including operating within the necessary transport regulations with regard to driving hours and operating tachograph (where necessary) according to Ministry of Transport requirements.
⚙️ Operating all lifting equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and method statements. Loading and unloading toilets in accordance with safe practice, the Company’s Safety Directives and Method Statements. Ensuring axle weights are not exceeded.
🔧 Carrying out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting / holding equipment (including straps and chains), recording any defects and reporting them to the Foreman / Toilet Manager.
👤 About You
✅ Category C1 / 7.5T HGV Driver
✅ Valid UK Driving Licence & Digital Tachograph Card & CPC
✅ Ideally 2 years commercial driving experience – less may be considered if your new and trying to get started
🗺️ Good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas
💬 Customer-focused experience and expertise
💪 Good physical health – this can be a physically demanding role
⏱️ Flexible approach to work, including reasonable overtime
